Good PR Needs Good Photography
PR is about getting the right message across, to the right people at the right time, and a good PR agency are invaluable for achieving this. Photography often plays an important part of the PR message, whether that is shots of people, or shots of products. Vitis PR are based in Solihull, and I have known them for a number of years, working with them on a few different projects. They work with several tech based companies on various aspects of public relations. For this project they were working with a company called CloudX (a global distribution platform for trading and financial transactions), and they needed some photographs of an innovative advertising campaign that CloudX had been using. The advertising world is a crowded place to get your message across, and CloudX had been using some interactive video products to promote what they do.
There are many reasons why companies need product photography, and PR is an important part of this. One of the challenges here was to get across the concept of an interactive product through photographs, but also to show the quality and style of the campaign. It was a very slick and well produced folder with a screen inside that automatically started when opened, with two simple interactive buttons to navigate the video items. As a PR agency, Vitis then used the photographs as part of an awards submission at the Mobile News Awards 2014, to show the judges how effective the campaign was, as well as showcasing the CloudX solution. This meant that the judges had a good understanding of what CloudX do as a company, and could see their innovative advertising campaign in action.
The clients were pleased to be Highly Commended in the Best Advertising Campaign category, and then went on to win the award for Innovative Service at the Mobile News Awards.
